FREE FAMILY DAY
Saturday, May 17, 2008
1:00-4:00 pm, Free admission
Bring your entire family to the Contemporary for an exciting, art-filled day. Become inspired by the work of John Armleder and Olivier Mosset—two artists working today—as you explore new ways to paint and make sculpture.
You and your family will receive free museum admission and free family gallery guides! Some of the day’s activities include: music, painting, spin art, sidewalk drawings, potato printing, and making a collage from everyday objects.
Free Family Days are designed to provide families and children of all ages with fun-filled opportunities to learn about contemporary art. Many of the opportunities are collaborative in nature and provide a vehicle for families to create art together. More than 1,500 children and 2,500 parents attend Free Family Days annually as a fun, educational, and cost-free way to spend the afternoon together.

General support for education programs is generously provided by the Regional Arts Commission; Arts and Education Council; Missouri Arts Council, a state agency; Macy's Foundation; Terry D. Weiss, M.D. Youth Education Fund; and members of the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis.
