On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis will host a series of double feature films that center on May 1968, a critical moment in history when the cultural and political reverberations were felt across the globe. On May 21, Assistant Curator Laura Fried will provide historical insight into this pivotal year and its special relationship to the art of filmmaking. In conjunction with the Main Galleries exhibition, her discussion will also pay special attention to the involvement of John Armleder and Olivier Mosset as artists engaged with this important period of cultural and social upheaval.

The High School Juried exhibition is an annual completion for metro area high school students. Join us for a mini exhibition highlighting the work of local high school art students. Work includes drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and more and is available for viewing during normal museum hours. Work will be on view until June 8, 2008.
