OPEN LAPTOP
Open Laptop is a forum for local artists to share their work—finished products, works-in-progress, video and digitally mediated artwork—with each other and with St. Louis. Think of Open Laptop as an open-mic night for visual artists--—a chance for artists to share work with peers and the St. Louis community.
During the evening, each artist receives eight minutes to show their work, and engage in a question and answer session. Presentations are short and concise. The mood is framed somewhere between a grade school show-and-tell and an art-school critique.
The Contemporary hosts Open Laptop nights throughout the year. Please visit our calendar to check for upcoming dates, or contact the Director of Education via email at kathryn.adamchick@contemporarystl.org or by phone at 314-535-0770 x216 for more information. |
General support for the Contemporary’s education programs is provided by the Regional Arts Commission; Missouri Arts Council, a state agency; Arts and Education Council; Macy’s Foundation; and members of the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis.
